Get started with a simple Lens Distortion material . This Post Process is simple and is able to be adapted.
Just set the Lens Distortion intensity anywhere from -2 to 2. If you're rendering with MovieRenderQueue, you should double your render resolution for the best results. This method has poor anti-aliasing that can be improved by up-resing your renders.
